3 Paritala aides done to death

By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR SEPT. 13. An MPTC member and two of his associates -- all followers of the TDP legislator from Penukonda, Paritala Ravindra -- were killed by their Congress rivals near Varimadugu village in Rapthadu mandal today.

According to the police, Maruthi (38), the MPTC member of Bhanukota, his brother-in-law Golla Venkatesh (28) of Balavenkatampalli in Kambadur mandal and his associate LIC Venkatesh (26) of Kakkalapalli in Anantapur Rural mandal were waylaid by their rivals when the three were going to Varimadugu on two-wheelers and bombed and hacked to death. All the three died on the spot.

They were allegedly killed by Bhanukota Kistappa of the Congress, a follower of the main accused in the Jubilee Hills car bomb case, Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri of Maddelacheruvu and a co-accused in the case but eluding the police so far, and his followers.

The trio were executing the Gandlaparthi-Varimadugu road. The contract of the work was also a bone of contention between the rival groups.
