Revenue records to be computerised soon

By Our Staff Reporter

TIRUPATI Sep. 13. Revenue records would be maintained, browsed, updated and acted upon, all online in the days to come, said Sati Nair, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, here on Friday.

Addressing the regional meet of Joint collectors and RDOs of Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore districts, she announced that information would be made available online to enable provision of income/caste certificates to the public from any part of the State.

She wanted the data obtained through the Multi-Purpose Household Survey (MPHS) be fed into the computer and the same be verified and cross-checked for errors by this month-end.

Obviously for better transparency and accuracy, MPDOs and panchayat secretaries too would be involved in the data entry. The issue of providing Internet connection to MRO office also came up for discussion.

Ms. Nair said she would review the mandal-wise performance of land affairs vis-a-vis set targets every fortnight, basing on the performance indicators.
