SC orders video-filming

By Our Legal Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 16. The Supreme Court today ordered video-filming of the entire area along the Manali-Rohtang road in Himachal Pradesh, where advertisements were painted on rock faces by Pepsi, Coca Cola and others, to determine the extent of "commercial vandalism".

A three-Judge Bench, comprising the Chief Justice B.N. Kirpal, Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, and Justice Arijit Pasayat, entrusted the task to a committee appointed to go into the damage caused to the environment by painting of advertisements.
