Narendra Mohan dead

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 20. The death of the Chief Editor of the Dainik Jagran and Rajya Sabha MP, Narendra Mohan, in a city hospital today was mourned by the Fourth Estate which remembered him as the ``doyen of Hindi journalism''.

In her condolence message, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sushma Swaraj, recalled how Mohan ``with his erudition and incisiveness provided a new dimension to the issues and events he commented upon.'' Also, according to her, ``his rich contribution to the world of journalism and development of Indian Press will be remembered for long.''

The All India Newspaper Editors' Conference — of which Mohan was a long-standing member — remembered him as a man of modern vision who was quick to adopt new technologies for his newspapers.
