A.K.Walia, the Delhi Minister of Health, inaugurated the workshop. Also present on the occasion were the Vice-Chancellor of GGSIP University, K.K.Aggarwal and Program Officer (AIDS) UNESCO, Shankar Choudhary among others. Dr. Walia stated that Delhi has reported a total of 22400 cases of HIV and emphasised that until the invention of any medical cure, knowledge and awareness about AIDS was the only available defence.
