By Our Special Correspondent
The Bangalore Traders' Association (BTA) announced on Friday that the leading event management company, Encore Events, would plan and manage the Deepavali shopping festival, "Diwali Lights", from October 2 to November 4. The BTA President, M. Pishe, said the association had members from over 800 commercial establishments. He said the festival would be open to traders in all areas of Bangalore. The aim of the association was to project Bangalore as the most preferred shopping and entertainment destination in the country, he added. "We are currently in the process of planning, and will soon announce the features of the shopping festival, including prize schemes and other events," Mr. Pishe said.
