By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI Sept. 21 . A signature campaign was conducted among residents of north Chennai as part of the "Malaria free Chennai" scheme launched recently to control the disease and create an awareness among the public.

Around 2,200 families participated in the four-day-long campaign which began on September 11 as a measure to educate the public about elimination of malarial parasite from domestic water sources.

Moreover, an awareness rally will be taken out from Washermanpet to Tondiarpet tomorrow as the second phase of the initiative by Karunalaya, a NGO.
