Radha Bai was found strangled and robbed of three sovereigns of gold jewellery on Vellala Street in Aminjikarai on September 12. Based on specific information, the police arrested an ex-convict, Madanraj, whose brother was staying near the victim's house. He allegedly confessed to committing the murder along with two others. One of his associates, Kumar, was also arrested. The other associate, Ramesh Bhandari, surrendered before a court this week in connection with another case. A special team, on the directions of the Joint Commissioner (Central), S. George, and led by the DCP (Anna Nagar), S.N. Seshasai, arrested the culprits.
