5 injured in Gujarat blast

By Manas Dasgupta

AHMEDABAD SEPT. 22 . About five persons were injured, two of them seriously, in a bomb blast on a Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation bus in Kheda district.

Among the injured were two women and a child. The blast, behind the driver's cabin, ripped open the side of the bus, which was going from Balasinor to the famous pilgrim centre of Dakor. The police said the bomb was planted under the seat but could not say who could have done it.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the old city areas of Vadodara after a 58-year-old shop owner was stabbed inside the Khanderao market, a UNI report said.
