Abhishek Bachchan to wed Karishma

Mumbai Sept. 22. Actor Abhishek Bachchan and popular actress Karishma Kapoor will soon be engaged to each other, Karishma's uncle Rishi Kapoor said today.

"Abhishek and Karishma will be engaged very soon", Rishi, also an actor, told PTI adding that the dates of the engagement and the wedding were yet to be fixed. Abhishek and Karishma co-starred in the film `Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya'.

Expressing happiness over Abhishek and Karishma's decision, Rishi said, "We are all very happy for the two of them. They have been going steady for a long time and we are happy that it will now end in a nuptial knot." Abhishek will be the second person from the Bachchan household to marry a member of the Kapoor family. Abhishek's sister Shweta is married to the son of Ritu Nanda, daughter of Raj Kapoor.
