It may be recalled that after keeping a low-profile for the first few months, Ms. Panwar had wielded her authority by asking for removal of Ms. Akolia last week following large-scale complaints against her by the party Councillors. A number of Councillors both from the ruling and Opposition parties had reportedly complained to her about Ms. Akolia, alleging that she was not available to them and at times misguided them on important matters. Mr. Mehta yesterday ordered transfer of Ms. Akolia.
