Srinath recalled

Mumbai Sept. 27. In a complete about turn, the national selectors today decided to include the speedster, Javagal Srinath, for the ICC Champions Trophy final to be played in Colombo on Sunday, as demanded by the Indian captain, Saurav Ganguly.

In the afternoon, the selection committee chairman, Brijesh Patel, was outvoted by the other four selectors — Kiran More, Sanjay Jagdale and Pronob Roy. Even Kirti Azad, the fifth selector, recovering from an operation in Delhi, agreed with the others.
