NC candidate escapes bid

Srinagar Sept. 27. Militants today made an attempt on the life of a National Conference candidate and targeted a designated polling station in separate attacks in Kashmir Valley.

Ultras lobbed a grenade and followed it by firing on a NC rally led by its candidate from Bijbehara constituency, A. G. Veeri, at Kanalwan in Anantnag district around 2 p.m. today.
