Abu Salem's module busted

New Delhi Sept. 27. Even as the Central Government is making all-out efforts to seek the deportation of the underworld don, Abu Salem, from Portugal, the Delhi Police have busted yet another of his modules engaged in extortion in the Capital by arresting three persons, including the former personal assistant to a former MP.

C.P. Rai (40), hailing from Mau district, and Sadiq (40) and Ishtiaq (28), both from Salem's native Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, were arrested last evening by Special Cell sleuths when they were proceeding to ``cause harm'' to a South Delhi- based businessman who refused to pay a ransom of Rs. 1 crore demanded by Salem.
