By Our Special Correspondent

Salman Khan surrendering himself to the police in Mumbai on Saturday.

MUMBAI Sept. 28. The Mumbai police have registered a case against the Hindi film actor, Salman Khan, for "rash and negligent driving", after he rammed a roadside bakery in the early hours of today, killing one person and injuring four others.

Later, he surrendered to police and was granted bail by court. Police got him medically examined.

Mr. Khan's lawyer, however, claimed that the police bodyguard was driving the car and that the actor was in the back seat. Police registered a case on the basis of the FIR filed by the bodyguard.
