Letters to the Editor
Sir, Bandh calls disrupt the normal life of the people and result in the loss of a day's productive work. This time it is to protest the terrorist attack on the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar. But a bandh is not at all the way to express condemnation of such acts. In fact, the terrorist outfit behind the act must be laughing that it had succeeded not only in killing so many people, but also in paralysing the nation for a day. The hasty manner in which the bandh call was given gave the impression that the VHP was eagerly waiting for such an opportunity to show its might. Social organisations and the media should oppose such frequent calls for bandhs.
