Letters to the Editor
Sir, The slow pace of reforms in power sector is a cause for concern. As suggested by the N.K. Singh Committee, we can attract more foreign direct investments (FDIs) only if we have adequate power. The achievements of two former Power Ministers (P. Kumaramangalam and Suresh Prabhu) were laudable. We must switch to non-conventional energy sources despite their high cost. This would bring down the ecological imbalance caused by thermal power stations.
