No improvement in Maran's condition

CHENNAI Sept. 30. There is no improvement in the condition of the Union Industries and Commerce Minister, Murasoli Maran, who underwent a heart-valve replacement surgery at Apollo Hospitals on Sept. 25.

"His condition has been the same in the last 24 hours... His cardiac condition and BP are normal without any supports. He is stable, conscious with normal orientation,'' a medical bulletin from the hospital said.

On Sunday, the Minister received MARS dialysis for liver and kidney. The team attending on him has been consulting infectious disease specialists both in the country and abroad. A management plan has been outlined following the consultations.
