C.V. Shankar posted as School Education Secy.

CHENNAI OCT. 1. In a minor reshuffle of IAS officers, C.V. Shankar, Secretary-II to Chief Minister, has been transferred as School Education Secretary.

He replaces V.K. Subburaj, who has been posted as Higher Education Secretary.

In other changes, Rameshram Mishra, Commissioner and Director of Agriculture, was transferred as Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and Leena Nair, who was in that post, would be the Chairperson and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women.

The Finance Secretary, N. Narayanan, would also be the Development Commissioner.

4 IAS officers promoted

Four IAS officers of the Tamil Nadu cadre have been promoted to the Chief Secretary grade. They are Lakshmi Pranesh, Ashok Kumar Rastogi, M.B. Pranesh and T.P. Nagarajan belonging to the 1968 batch.
