The KPCC president despatched the show cause notice by a special messenger following a direction from the AICC general secretary, Ambika Soni. The KPCC president said in his notice: "It has come to the notice of the party that your name, as a party worker, is associated with a police case relating to the fake document implicating another party worker and Minister, and that an non-bailable warrant had been issued against you in this case. The party has also noted your accusatory statements against senior leaders, including the Chief Minister.''
