MLA held in 'forgery' case

Thiruvananthapuram Oct. 3. The Congress MLA, Sobhana George, third accused in the police document fabrication case, was today arrested and admitted to a hospital as she fainted in the premises of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate, N.K. Jose, visited her at a hospital and remanded her to judicial custody till October 11. The case relates to fabrication of a police document to link the Tourism Minister, K.V. Thomas, in a Rs. 336-crore scandal. — UNI
