Mahant's call to arrest Singhal under POTA

By Our Staff Correspondent

DEHRA DUN OCT. 5. Mahant Dharam Das, president of the Vishwa Dharam Raksha Parishad and one-time confidant of the Vishwa Parishad leader, Ashok Singhal, has called for the arrest of the latter along with Praveen Togadia and Ramchandra Das Param Hans under POTA by October 6, "as they have been indulging in political terrorism aimed at creating confusion in favour of the BJP.'' If the Government failed to do this, he would seek justice from court, the Mahant added.

Addressing presspersons here, Mahant Dharam Das said they would be able to start construction of a Ram Temple at the same site in Ayodhya and also donate sufficient land, at a reasonable distance, and provide all assistance for construction of a mosque, with Hindus and Muslims lending a helping hand to each other provided the VHP, especially Mr. Singhal, and its sister organisations maintained silence till December 6.

``The people have seen through the game of political hatred and want to live in peace. This would be possible only when anyone trying to vitiate the atmosphere for political, economic or vested gains is immediately booked under the POTA,'' he added.
