HC directive in Salman case

Mumbai Oct. 5. Expressing dissatisfaction over the manner in which investigations were conducted into the hit-and-run case involving film actor Salman Khan, the Mumbai High Court today directed the police to submit the case papers on October 7 and ordered the actor to be present on that day.

The judges expressed anguish over the plight of victims and directed the public prosecutor to lend her assistance on the point of application of law in this case.

She has been asked to find out whether Salman had been appropriately charged in this case.

The court today asked the police to ensure that Salman Khan, his family members, relatives and friends did not meet the accident victims or their family members. — PTI, UNI
