Admitting a civil suit against the two channels by Modi Entertainment Ltd. to whom Prasar Bharti Corporation has given a contract to distribute the programmes of the DD Sports channel in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Justice S.K. Aggarwal said the two channels should not telecast the highlights till the application is disposed of. The suit will come up for hearing on October 25. Counsel for the plaintiff submitted that his client was surprised on reading advertisements in newspapers last Wednesday that the ESPN and the Star Television Network would telecast the highlights of the series. He submitted that the plaintiff had reached an agreement with the Prasar Bharti having the exclusive rights to telecast the series.
