Sahu, Gokhale maintain lead

AHMEDABAD Oct. 11 . International Masters (IM) Shekhar Sahu and Jayant Gokhale of Bharat Petroleum continued to maintain their joint lead with 4.5 points after fifth round in the Centurion Bank and Sports Club of Gujarat International Rating Chess Championship, 2002 played here on Friday.

The results: Fifth round: Kajari Chokshi (3) bt Jalpan Bhatt (2); Rahul Shetty (3.5) bt Sukumar Menon (1); Bhavya Shah (1) lost to Jayant Gokhale (4.5); Shekhar Sahu (4.5) bt Fenil Shah (1); Namra Pandya (1) lost to Praful Mehta (3.5); Swapnil Shah (1.5) lost to Sashikant Kutwal (3); Palak Patel (2.5) lost to Mayur Patel (2.5); Dhyani Dave (1.5) lost to Nirav Rajasubha (4).
