Apart from the haul from its tennis team, the other bronze that India picked up today came through 17-year-old Surendra Bhandari, the losing semifinalist in the men's flyweight (54 kg) category in taekwondo. The Uttar Pradesh lad, hailing from Alhora, had defeated Bahadur Kumar Karki (Nepal) and Aqlan Anas Hamood (Yemen) in the preliminary rounds before losing to Iranian Behzad K. Khodadad in the semifinals. In equestrian, India at the end of the first round of the team show jumping event was placed ninth and last with 61 penalty points. India is being represented by Jaspal Massih (astride Mast Mollah), Sudhir Ahlawat (Taquade), Sandeep Dewan (Master) and Sajjan Kumar (Titan).
