Arjun replaces Naren

CHENNAI OCT. 15. Arjun Balu and Stuart Warren will drive the two Team MRF Tyres' cars in the Rally of China, the fifth round of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship scheduled to be held in Shaoguan between Oct. 19 and 21.

Arjun, a regular for Team MRF, replaces Naren Kumar for this event on the strength that he had won the China round of the Asia Zone Rally Championship (AZRC) last year.

Moreover, Naren did not finish the three APRC rounds he took part, in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Arjun's co-driver will be D. Ram, who is Naren's regular navigator.

``Both Naren and Arjun are in practice mode at this level. Arjun has adjusted well to the 280-bhp

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo7,'' said Mr. Anthony Rodricks, the team manager.

New Zealander Stuart Warren (co-driver Daryll Judd) is in the second place with 40 points in the Group N standings and has a good chance to upstage current leader Nico Caldarola of Italy (49).
