Man shoots himself dead at Palavakkam

Chennai Oct. 16. A 74-year-old man shot himself dead using a licenced .32 Wesley revolver at MGR Salai in Palavakkam in the early hours of today.

Police identified the victim as Rabindranath, a retired government official. According to police, the victim was suffering from health problems and was recently admitted to hospital.

The family members heard the gun sound and rushed to his room, only to find Rabindranath lying dead in a pool of blood.
