Godhra attack accused held

VADODARA OCT. 17. One of the key accused in the Godhra train carnage, Nanhen Mian alias Nikku Chaudhary, was arrested in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, last night.

He was held from his in-laws' house by the special operations group of the Gujarat police.

Police said the analysis of calls made from an STD booth in Godhra led to the arrest of Mian. The booth is near the No. 1 platform at Godhra railway station where the S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express was torched. Hundreds of calls were made to foreign countries from this guest house after the carnage, police said.
