Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is painful to watch the Congress and the People's Democratic Party squander the opportunity given to them by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The post-election posturing by these parties sends a clear message that short-term political gains are their priority, while the interests of Kashmir and the nation take a backseat. The people expect the Congress to either form a Government with the Opposition combine (barring the PDP) or break the ice on the Chief Ministership issue with the PDP. The parties should not forget that petty politics have no place now. Bidyut Kumar Chatterjee, Faridabad
