Pande, new Cabinet Secy.

New Delhi Nov. 1. Kamal Pande today took over as new Cabinet Secretary. He succeeds T. R. Prasad.

A 1965 batch IAS officer, the 59-year-old Pande, was the Home Secretary till October 15, when he became Officer on Special Duty in the Cabinet Secretariat.

He took charge this morning from Mr. Prasad, who retired after a two-year tenure.
