1 dies as train rams another

Chapra Nov. 5. One person was killed and 27 were injured, five of them seriously, when the Gwalior-Barauni Express crashed into the stationary Amritsar-Barauni Jan Seva Express from behind in Bihar's Saran district early today, officials said.

The Saran District Magistrate, Vaidyanath Mishra, and the Superintendent of Police, Kundan Krishna, said the engine of the Gwalior-Barauni Express rammed into the guard coach of the Jan Seva Express between Kopasamhauta and Tekniwas stations on the Chapra-Siwan section under Varanasi division of North Eastern railway.

The Railway Minister, Nitish Kumar, said the driver and assistant of the express train were still missing.
