Robbers attack ex-Law Minister

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI NOV. 6. The former Union Law Minister, Shanti Bhushan, sustained injuries when some miscreants barged into his sister-in-law's house and robbed them of cash and jewellery at Anand Vihar in East Delhi on Wednesday morning. A head constable and a security guard were injured while trying to nab the robbers.

Mr. Bhushan had gone to celebrate Deepavali with his 55-year-old relative, Rajni Rani, when the robbers struck. The culprits had entered the house from the rear by breaking a window grill. Mr. Bhushan was woken up by some noise and found half a dozen men armed with knives and country-made weapons in the house. When he challenged the robbers, they attacked him with knives. He suffered wounds on his left palm.
