As they were being swept away in the icy cold current of the Ganga, P. Raghu of the Army jumped from his raft and pulled out the boy, William Puyatt, to safety. Other army rafters, led by their officers, Vishal Ahlawat and Sharif Mizanur Rehman, rescued the three U.S. embassy Employees Matt Lowe, Geoffrey and Eden White. The second joint Indo-Bangladesh Army river rafting expedition was flagged off by the Uttranchal Chief Minister, N.D. Tiwari, at Dehradun on Tuesday. The expedition is being led by G.S. Mungali of the India and Mizanur Rehman of Bangladesh is the deputy leader.
