Meet on secularism, power reforms

BANGALORE Nov. 6. Distinguished historians, scientists, and a former judge of the Karnataka High Court will participate in a two-day national seminar on "Secularism, power reforms, and industrial and agricultural crisis" here from November 9.

The seminar is being organised by the "Save India Committee", consisting of academics, scientists, and social activists.

S. Chatterjee, scientist, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, H.N. Nagamohan Das, and T. Surendra Rao told presspersons here today that the seminar would give a rare opportunity to Bangaloreans to interact with eminent personalities who had made an immense contribution to the fight against communalism.

The CPI(M) Politburo Member, Sitaram Yechuri, will inaugurate the seminar at the Senate Hall, Central College campus, on Saturday at 11 a.m. On the second day, the seminar will focus on power reforms.
