Search on for foreign trawlers

KOLKATA NOV. 10. The Border Security Force, the Coast Guard and the police today launched an operation to apprehend the foreign trawlers which intruded into the Indian waters at Kendo island on the Indo-Bangladesh border at the mouth of Bay of Bengal, a senior district official said here.

``There has been a definite report of intrusion by unauthorised people of a foreign country with highly sophisticated fishing trawlers into the Indian waters yesterday. But they have not yet been traced,'' the South 24 Parganas District Magistrate, Alapan Bandopadhyay, said.
