Inflation rate goes up

NEW DELHI NOV. 10. Buying spree on Diwali eve led to a sharp rise in vegetable and fruit prices, pushing the inflation rate up by 0.13 per cent to 3.02 per cent for the week ended October 26 even as the Government was able to contain the ``spill-over'' of substantial spurt in oil prices in the previous week.
