The president of the headquarters of the INTUC, Sanjeeva Reddy would inaugurate the meeting which would be attended by nearly 150 delegates from different parts of the country. The Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, his cabinet colleagues, the PCC president, V. Narayanasamy, legislators and office bearers of the Pondicherry INTUC would participate in the deliberations. Mr. Lakshminarayanan who is the chairman of Pondicherry INTUC said that the meeting would review critically all labour related issues and also the report of the Second Labour Commission now lying before the Centre. The problems of labourers in organised, unorganised and non-industrial sectors would also be studied. A workers meeting of the Pondicherry INTUC would be held next day.
