By Shujaat Bukhari

SRINAGAR NOV. 19. In a powerful blast, triggered by an improvised explosive device (IED) in the north Kashmir town of Bandipore, a Border Security Force jawan and a civilian were killed while eight sustained injuries.

Reports said police received information about the IEDs planted on the road. Accompanied by BSF personnel, a team left to defuse it. While one IED was being defused, another exploded killing the BSF jawan, Shashikant, and the civilian, Moulvi Bashir Ahmed, on the spot.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
