BJP leader shot dead

HAMIRPUR NOV. 25. A BJP leader, Amir Ahmed alias Laloo, was shot dead and another person seriously injured in a shoot-out in front of the court of the Additional District Magistrate here today, police said. Mr. Ahmed, general-secretary of the BJP's minority cell of the district, had gone to the Collectorate with his wife and supporters in connection with a case, when two armed men opened fire at him. — PTI
