Oil blocks for Reliance

NEW DELHI Nov. 25. A consortium of Reliance Industries Limited and Hardy Exploration and Production (India) has bagged nine of the 23 oil and gas exploration blocks that were on offer under the third round of the New Exploration Licensing Policy. Of the nine, seven are deep water and two shallow water blocks. A Government spokesman said that of the remaining, ONGC by itself bagged nine blocks, a consortium of ONGC and OIL three, an ONGC-IOC consortium one onshore block, and a consortium of the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation and Geo-Global India Resources Inc. and Jubilant Enpro Limited one block.
