Vashishtha takes over as LIC MD

MUMBAI NOV. 28. R. K. Vashishtha today took over as the Managing Director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) here. Prior to this appointment, he was zonal manager of LIC's south-central zone in Hyderabad, the LIC said in a release.

A direct recruit, the new MD is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and has represented the financial institution at Tokyo in the Top Management Seminar of Asian Insurance Companies, it added. — PTI
