Law Day awards presented

NEW DELHI Nov. 30. The Union Law Minister, Jana Krishnamurthy, presented the `Law Day' awards to the former Chief Justice of India, A.M. Ahmadi; noted constitutional expert, L.M. Singhvi, MP; former Solicitor- General of India, Dipankar P.Gupta, and Additional Solicitor-General, Altaf Ahmad, at a function held here recently.

International arbitration expert Sarosh Zaiwalla, senior advocate, P.N. Misra, legal affairs expert B.A. Aggarwal and Bar Council of India member Natubhai S. Bhatt also received the awards. For the first time, an expert from the field of corporate law, Sombrata Mandal of the law firm Fox Mandal and Co., was presented the award.

The awards are being given every year to eminent legal luminaries for their contributions in different fields of law.
