NCP leader murdered

Parli-Vaijanath Nov. 30. Close on the heels of the murder of an NCP activist at Kankavli in Sindhudurg district, another NCP leader, Sangeet Bhanudasrao Dighole, was today done to death by unidentified persons here.

Dighole, 28, a resident of Maal Hiwara village in the tehsil in Beed district of Maharashtra, was attacked with swords and other sharp weapons in front of the civil and criminal court here. Following the murder, tension gripped the city and shopkeepers downed shutters. Adequate police force has been deployed in the city. — PTI
