Ketan Parekh arrested

Mumbai Dec. 2. Tainted stock broker, Ketan Parekh, was today arrested by a Kolkata police team here in connection with the Rs. 120-crore payment crisis in the Calcutta Stock Exchange.

The team arrived this morning and arrested Mr. Parekh at 4 p.m. They will take him to Kolkata and produce him before a court there.

So far 17 persons have been arrested in connection with the scam.

Mr. Parekh's arrest came within a few days of arrest of the prime accused, Dinesh Singhania, Harish Chander Biyani and Ashok Poddar.
