Late Prof. Swaminathan

Sir,— The academic community is saddened by the passing away of Prof. S. Swaminathan. As professor of commerce at Loyola College and Madras Christian College, he delighted the students with his powerful and effective lectures. Academic circles felt elated at his elevation as Business Editor of The Hindu.
