A. C. Muthiah new FICCI chief

NEW DELHI Dec. 14. The chairman of the Chennai-based Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) A.C. Muthiah has taken over as President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for 2002-03. He took over at the conclusion of FICCI's 75th annual session here today.

Yogendra K. Modi and Omkar S. Kanwar have been elected senior vice-President and Vice President of FICCI.

They were elected by the newly constituted committee of FICCI which met today under the chairmanship of Dr. Muthiah.

Mr. Modi is chairman of YKM Holding and Modi Telecom as well as Great Eastern Energy Corporation. Mr. Kanwar is the chairman of Apollo Tyres.
