Reception to new Bishops

KOTTAYAM Dec. 14. In a show of strength in its ongoing feud with the Orthodox faction, the Patriarch faction will organise a public reception for the four newly-consecrated Bishops and the Catholicos Baselius Thomas I here on Sunday.

Speaking to mediapersons here, the Metropolitan, Jospeh Mor Gregorios, said the four Metropolitans, Geevarghese Mor Dionysius, Kuriakose Mor Diyoscorus, Yuhanon Mor Milithios and Geevarghese Mor Athanasius, would be received at the city gates by the Municipal chairman, Sunny Kalloor, and would be taken out in a procession to the Municipal Grounds at Nagambadom.

T. M. Jacob, Minister for Water Resources, and P. P. Thankachan, former Speaker, are expected to address the gathering.
