Ex-minister dead

Chennai Dec. 14. The former AIADMK Minister, S.N. Rajendran, died here today after a brief illness. He was 67, and is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.

A law graduate, Mr. Rajendran was elected to the Assembly from the Tuticorin constituency for two successive terms from 1980 and 1984. He held the portfolios of Public Works, Handlooms and Environment in the MGR Cabinet.
