The Zam-Zam Association has urged the authorities to end the neglect of the Siddha hospital in Vallakadavu which was a refuge for coastal folk and headload workers of the Food Corporation of India in the locality. In a statement here, the association president, S. Syed Ali, said the primary handicap that the hospital faced was the lack of land for a permanent establishment. The association urged the Cooperation Minister, M. V. Raghavan, and V. S. Sivakumar, MP, to mobilise constituency development funds to provide a permanent site for the centre.
